Harmony and godly collaboration
One essential truth we must grasp is that there is ample space to accommodate everyone in God’s presence. This is buttressed by the Lord’s specific command to the tribe of Simeon: they were instructed to camp next to the tribe of Reuben in the wilderness. Notably, the arrangement was such that the tribe of Reuben did not have to compress any portion of their encampment to make room for the tribe of Simeon. This positioning signifies that God’s vision for His people is not one of competition or limitation but of harmony and coexistence.

Moreover, it is noteworthy that the Lord did not instruct the tribe of Simeon to displace or dominate the tribe of Reuben in any way. Instead, His directive fostered a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. This conveys a vital lesson: whenever we are in a new environment, whether a neighbourhood, workplace, or community, we should approach it not with a mindset of displacement or rivalry but with collaboration and support.

By actively cultivating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and welcomed, we not only embody the principles of love and acceptance that are central to God’s teachings but also contribute to a unified community that reflects His desire for all His people to coexist lovingly.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that You have a place for me in Your presence. Please help me to live in harmony and godly collaboration with my neighbours. I pray this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
