“and you will be assisted by one family leader from each tribe.”
Are you assisting or resisting?
God equipped Moses and Aaron with everything necessary to fulfill their sacred mission of counting the men aged twenty and older, deemed eligible for military service. Yet, the Lord called upon one leader from each tribe to join them in this vital endeavour. This collaboration was more than just logistical; it embodied a spirit of transparency and accountability. Each leader, deeply familiar with the men of their tribe, played a crucial role in ensuring that every individual was accurately accounted for.
The Lord envisioned this collective effort as a means to foster unity among the leaders, Moses, and Aaron, all working harmoniously toward a shared goal. It raises an essential question for us today: Are we, as family leaders, truly aware of our tribe? More importantly, are we dedicated to ensuring every member feels included and valued, or are we encouraging them to sidestep their responsibilities to serve the Lord and uplift our communities? Let us reflect on our commitment to this vital calling.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me not to disappoint You in any capacity of leadership You have placed me in. I pray I will not hold back my service to You or encourage anyone to do so. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
