Leviticus 27:10 NLT
“You may not exchange or substitute it for another animal—neither a good animal for a bad one nor a bad animal for a good one. But if you do exchange one animal for another, then both the original animal and its substitute will be considered holy.”
No exchange is necessary
Every time one studies scripture, there is a 100 percent chance that the Spirit of Christ will unveil something new and profound about God’s character. Based on the foregoing, the Holy Spirit reveals in today’s referenced scripture that the Lord knows that the people of Israel can differentiate good animals from bad animals. Friends, God has imbued in you and me the ability to know the difference between a good and a bad act of worship.
Moreover, God recognizes that individuals may reconsider their initial offerings, possibly desiring to exchange the promised animal for one they perceive to be of greater value, quality, or otherwise. This inclination might stem from believing they should present God with something more fitting or worthy. It is crucial to highlight that the Lord states that the exchange is unnecessary. The fact that humans can think of exchanging the animal promised shows that human intentions can evolve. However, God does not evolve.
Friends, how are you evolving in worshiping the King of Glory? Is your worship of the King of kings deteriorating or getting better?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me consistently show commitment to what I offer You and guide me in understanding what is acceptable according to Your standards. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
