Leviticus 26:37 NLT
“Though no one is chasing you, you will stumble over each other as though fleeing from a sword. You will have no power to stand up against your enemies.”
*Power to stand up*
Power is essential in our lives, manifesting in various forms to help us achieve our goals and aspirations. Individuals can acquire certain aspects of power through their efforts, such as education, skills, and personal development. However, another dimension of power exists that transcends human capability—one that no amount of striving or ambition can attain. This particular power, which grants the strength to stand firm against adversaries and challenges, originates from a divine source: God.
While this divine power is accessible to everyone, only those with a relationship with Christ can truly unlock and utilize it in their lives. Individuals who are not in Christ may find themselves lacking the spiritual authority and resilience needed to confront and overcome their enemies, whether they be physical, emotional, or spiritual in nature.
In the scripture referenced today, God expresses a crucial truth to the people of Israel: when they engage in flagrant disobedience, they forfeit their ability to face their adversaries effectively. This is a solemn reminder that spiritual integrity and adherence to divine guidance are paramount in gaining strength against opposition.
So, friends, do you yearn for divine empowerment to confront your challenges and adversaries? This ability cannot be harnessed through mere human means—flesh and blood are insufficient. Only through the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ can we access the profound strength needed to stand firm in the face of adversity. This divine empowerment transforms us, equipping us to rise above our circumstances with confidence and resolve.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You, seeking Your guidance in my thoughts and actions. Please grant me the wisdom and strength to resist temptations that may lead me away from Your path. I ask that You protect me from any choices that could diminish the power You have given me to stand firm against my enemies. Help me remain steadfast in faith, clarity, and purpose to navigate the challenges ahead. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
