I will live among you
Imagine a scenario where important dignitaries come to your office, creating an atmosphere filled with anticipation and honour instead of you travelling to their prestigious locations. The experience is often one that leaves a lasting impression. You find yourself eager to share the details of the encounter, relaying the excitement to anyone who will listen, even those who may not be interested. Now, consider how profoundly humbling it must have been for the people of Israel to receive the message that God, the Creator of the universe, would choose to make His dwelling among them.
This promise signifies the most incredible gift imaginable—an intimate relationship with the Divine. The Lord assured them of His presence not as a reward for their ritual sacrifices of rams and bulls but as a testament to His grace, contingent upon their willingness to let His teachings guide their lives. It emphasizes the importance of allowing His wisdom to navigate their paths. Friends, this incredible offer is still available today, but we must approach it with reverence and commitment. We should not take lightly the significance of His presence and the transformative power of His word in our lives.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I recognize that You desire a close and personal relationship with me. I ask for Your divine guidance to help me cultivate an open and receptive heart, making it a welcoming place for Your presence to dwell continuously. Please guide my thoughts and actions so that they align with Your will and help me shed any barriers that may keep us apart. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
