Leviticus 25:19 NLT
“Then the land will yield large crops, and you will eat your fill and live securely in it.”

In the preceding verse, God emphasized that adherence to His decrees and obedience to His regulations are the only stipulations for living securely in the Promised Land. Therefore, the promise outlined in today’s referenced scripture didn’t come out of a vacuum but from obedience to God. The Lord asserted that their unwavering obedience would lead to extraordinary blessings: the land would yield bountiful harvests that would be unprecedented in size and abundance.
The profound lesson found in this scripture underscores the principle that obedience to God not only brings rewards but also transforms the labour of one’s hands into blessings that transcend human understanding. Additionally, God promises not only that these large harvests will be plentiful but that the people will be granted the grace to relish and enjoy the fruits of their labour. This notion resonates deeply with us, as no one desires to toil without seeing growth or benefitting from their efforts.
Through today’s referenced scripture, God clearly illustrates that following His decrees and regulations not only results in substantial harvests but also ensures that enjoying those harvests. This insight offers profound encouragement, reminding us that a faithful commitment to God’s guidance yields rewards that nourish both body and spirit.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I earnestly pray for the strength to remain obedient to Your will, not just when circumstances are favourable or easy to accept, but always, even in times of challenge and uncertainty. Help me to be vigilant and aware so that I do not, through negligence or complacency, dismiss or undermine Your beautiful and intricate plan for my life. May I embrace each moment with faith, trusting that Your guidance will lead me to fulfillment and purpose, regardless of the trials I may face. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
