Leviticus 24:4 NLT
“Aaron and the priests must tend the lamps on the pure gold lampstand continually in the Lord’s presence.”
‭‭
Aaron and the priests
The Lord’s instructions in the referenced scripture offer profound insights that warrant deeper reflection. Firstly, it becomes evident that numerous priests whose names, though not explicitly mentioned, were tasked with playing a crucial role in the larger framework of the divine task. This omission of names does not mean that God does not reckon with their contributions.

Instead, it suggests that service within His kingdom is often collective, where many may work diligently behind the scenes, and their impact may not always be recognized by the public or recorded in history but known to God. Therefore, dear friends, it’s vital to understand that your contributions to any endeavour should not be contingent upon whether you receive recognition through an official mention.

The term “tend,” which implies caretaking and stewardship, indicates that the Lord expected Aaron and his fellow priests to fully commit themselves to their roles. This expectation is the same level of dedication and diligence that the Lord requires in our spiritual and communal responsibilities. It prompts us to consider whether we put our best efforts into every divine task we are called to perform, even when our names are not highlighted or celebrated.

Friend, let us ask ourselves this question: Am I wholeheartedly giving myself to each divine assignment that comes my way, regardless of whether I receive explicit acknowledgment? Let us strive to serve with passion and purpose, knowing that every contribution is vital in the Lord’s eyes.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask for your guidance and strength to embrace my assignment, no matter the circumstances or whether my name is acknowledged. Help me remain steadfast and committed to the responsibilities you have entrusted to me. Please instill in me the determination to give my utmost effort and to perform at my best in all that I do. In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.
