Leviticus 23:44 NLT
“So Moses gave the Israelites these instructions regarding the annual festivals of the Lord.”
Deliver the message!
As Christians, we rely on divine guidance. Some of this guidance comes directly through logos, while other instructions are received through rhema. These messages may be meant for us, our family members, friends, or our spiritual communities. However, when we receive guidance intended for others, how often do we ignore it and focus only on our own agendas? How frequently do we pray for those individuals or share what the Lord has instructed us to convey? Each of us is an ambassador of Christ; are we fulfilling our responsibilities?
In Leviticus 23, Moses received direct instructions from God. The Lord spoke to him in great detail, demonstrating the profound relationship we can have with God and the Holy Spirit. Moses was tasked with conveying these instructions to the Israelites. Despite the frustrations he faced—people often complaining, disobeying, and trivializing his efforts—he faithfully communicated the Lord’s messages to them.
From this, we learn that no matter the provocation from others, we must adhere to Christ’s mandate and diligently carry out His work. We are called to share His instructions and set aside our pride, as we are vessels of salvation.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that you help me consistently do your work. Help me to consistently, no matter the provocation, hold no grudges, and freely do what you need me to do in Jesus’s name, amen.
