Leviticus 23:42 NLT
For seven days you must live outside in little shelters. All native-born Israelites must live in shelters.

More than a camping experience
Walking with the Lord demands an exclusive and deeply personal relationship, coupled with a commitment to remain steadfast through life’s many challenges. To truly embrace this path, one must be willing to engage in pursuits that may diverge significantly from societal norms or popular trends. Moreover, it is essential to recognize that this path often insists on authenticity over imitation.

Those who truly walk with the Lord do not merely replicate the actions of others, regardless of how glamorous or widely accepted those actions might appear. Instead, they remain steadfast in their principles, continuing their endeavours even when external validation or acknowledgment is lacking. This journey can often feel lonely, as it involves tenacity in pursuing what may seem misaligned with contemporary values.

As encapsulated in the referenced scripture, the Lord’s command for the native-born to reside in temporary shelters for seven days goes beyond mere camping experience. It serves as a poignant reminder of His unwavering care and protection throughout their arduous journey in the wilderness. This experience was designed to foster a continual reliance on God’s provision and guidance in their lives.

So, as you reflect on your journey, consider this important question: Do you trust God to care for you in your life experiences? Whether your answer is a resounding yes or a more hesitant consideration, take a moment to look back at your past. You’ll likely see the threads of God’s faithfulness woven through each generation—reminders that He is steadfast, compassionate, and ever-present, providing for those who trust Him.
