Leviticus: 22:19 NLT
“you will be accepted only if your offering is a male animal with no defects. It may be a bull, a ram, or a male goat.”
You will be accepted
No one enjoys rejection from anyone, let alone from the Lord. Unfortunately, rejection can occur, and it’s essential to understand the underlying reasons. In human relationships, rejection may stem from animosity or personal grievances. However, when it comes to the Lord’s acceptance, the responsibility often lies with the individual who is being rejected.
In the scripture referenced, the Lord expresses a fundamental truth: every person has the opportunity to be accepted by Him. Yet, this acceptance is contingent upon one’s actions and choices—essentially, their performance in adhering to divine standards.
The Lord specifies that an offering must be a male animal free from defects. This stipulation—whether the offering is a bull, a ram, or a male goat—highlights that the criteria for acceptance hinge not on the quantity of the offering but rather on its quality. This suggests that the Lord values the purity and integrity of what we bring to Him.
As you reflect on your relationship with God, consider the quality of your offerings. Are they aligned with God’s specifications, or do your understanding and standards shape them? It’s vital to remember that while God desires to embrace and accept each of us, it must be on His terms. These divine terms find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ.
Embracing Jesus is the key to being accepted by God. Accepting Him into your life today opens the door to a relationship built on grace and sincere offerings that meet the divine standards set forth. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be accepted—take that step of faith and invite Jesus into your heart.
