Leviticus 19:6 NLT
“The sacrifice must be eaten on the same day you offer it or on the next day. Whatever is left over until the third day must be completely burned up.”
On the same day
The phrase “God is good” is more than just a saying; it is a resounding affirmation of truth that emphasizes the fundamental goodness of God. This goodness is evident in the straightforward instructions for the people of Israel who wished to make a peace offering. It’s remarkable that these instructions were not hidden or restricted to a select group, such as the priests, but were made available to everyone.
In contrast to the typical human act of making amends, where the primary beneficiary is the person receiving the amends, making a peace offering to God is different. Here, the person making the offering is the direct beneficiary, and the sacrifice is not made to achieve peace but to fellowship with God, the priest, family, friends, and neighbours. As Jesus is our peace offering, we should not hesitate extend the peace He offers to our family, friends, neighbours, and remain steadfast in fellowship with God through Him. If you have not yet made peace with God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, it is not too late to do so.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will help me mend every broken relationship with family, friends, neighbours, and most importantly, You. I ask for this in Jesus’s name, Amen.
