Leviticus 19:29 NLT
“Do not defile your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will be filled with prostitution and wickedness.”

The ball is in your court
Life is filled with choices, each with its own rewards and costs. A good choice is one in which the rewards outweigh the costs, both in the short and long term. In the scripture referenced, the Lord instructed the people of Israel not to allow their daughters to become prostitutes.

The Lord made it clear that failure to lead their daughters in the path of righteousness would cause the land to be filled with wickedness and prostitution instead of the abundance of milk and honey it was meant to produce. According to the Lord, the consequences of prostitution are dangerous and can spread quickly once it is allowed to take root.

Like the people of Israel, you and I must take the right action and not underestimate the consequences of inaction or a wrong response. Whether you have daughters or not, playing your part in teaching and modelling godly behaviour is essential, providing a positive example for our daughters and all young girls to follow.

Prayer
Dear God, I pray that I will not engage in any endeavour that does not originate from You, regardless of how popular it might be. So, help me, Lord Jesus. Amen.
