Leviticus 18:9 NLT
“Do not have sexual relations with your sister or half sister, whether she is your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born into your household or someone else’s.”

Things to avoid
It is crucial to always keep in mind that God has specific instructions for those who belong to Him regarding how to enjoy His blessings. These instructions may involve what not to do and what to do. In the scripture referenced today, the focus is on things to avoid. The Lord has made it clear to the people of Israel that they must not engage in unacceptable behaviour, particularly in the realm of sexual relationships. It is emphasized that they should not permit any form of perversion to take hold in their lives, as sexual perversions, such as relations between brothers and sisters, half-sisters, or step-sisters, have a destructive impact. Such behaviours lead to the disintegration of marriage, family, and society from within. Where such sexual relations persist, God takes action. In Romans 1 verse 28, Paul communicates that those who reject God and do not retain Him in their thoughts are handed over to reprobate minds. It is important not to jeopardize our relationship with God due to unnatural emotions.

Prayer
Dear God, I humbly ask for Your guidance to refrain from actions or attitudes that do not follow Your will. I ask for this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
