The same weight
In every human construct, ensuring or maintaining equality is an everyday struggle. However, it is never a challenge with the I AM WHO I AM. Just as He shows His kindness to anyone who does His will, likewise, His wrath is for anyone who violates His instruction. In today’s scripture, the Lord states that whoever engages in detestable acts will be cut off from the community of Israel because one rotten apple is enough to spoil the barrel, hence the reason for such a penalty. Remember that the Lord does not live in the land but in people, so whatever He does is in their interest. Another message is that even in punishment, the Lord is just because He asserted that the exact weight of punishment would be applied should the priests, non-priests, natives, or foreigners living among the people of Israel violate the instruction.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, may my heart’s desire always be to do Your will. Please guide me, Lord Jesus. Amen.
