Leviticus 17:10-11 NLT
“And if any native Israelite or foreigner living among you eats or drinks blood in any form, I will turn against that person and cut him off from the community of your people, for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the Lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.”
Blood in any form
Humans often seek adventure in various aspects of life, including food. While being a food enthusiast is not inherently wrong, it’s crucial to approach it with mindfulness and respect. According to Genesis 9:3, humans have been granted divine permission to consume food. However, it’s essential to exercise prudence and not let this pursuit lead to perdition.
In the referenced scripture, the Lord cautions both the people of Israel and foreigners residing among them against consuming blood in any form, including eating or drinking blood. The rationale behind this prohibition is explicitly stated: the Lord emphasizes that life resides in the blood. This powerful declaration underscores the significance of respecting the sanctity of life and seeking sustenance through the divine provider, the I AM WHO I AM, rather than through practices that conflict with the sacred nature of life itself.
