Provisions for the future
The scripture we are looking at today provides valuable insights into human nature. It emphasizes the mortality of all humans, highlighting the impermanence of our roles and positions. The passage addresses the finite nature of Aaron’s tenure as high priest, emphasizing that no one holds a position indefinitely. It reminds us that our current roles are transient, and others will assume them in the future.

Additionally, the scripture delves into the lineage of future occupants of positions of authority, stating that they will be descendants of Aaron. This raises the question of how Aaron can ensure that the priesthood remains within his family.
