Leviticus 16:9 NLT
”Aaron will then present as a sin offering the goat chosen by lot for the Lord.“
Aaron, not Moses
In God’s vineyard, everyone has a role to play. While some might get more appearances, others might have just one appearance. In today’s scripture reference, we read that Moses received God’s instructions for Aaron. Despite the attention centred on Aaron, Moses was not bittered that God focused on Aaron.
From this, we glean a crucial lesson. It’s vital not to feel envious if God uses our brothers or sisters more prominently than us. We should have unwavering trust in God’s discernment and His selection of the right person for each task. Moreover, we should cultivate a culture of support and encouragement for our fellow believers entrusted with more significant roles.
Lastly, we must not alter the assignments that God has given to individuals. God does not err. The Lord specifically chose Aaron for the task, and Moses faithfully recorded that. Friends, when God speaks through you, strive to deliver the message as intended. Never add to it or subtract from it. Let the person the Lord has assigned to a task carry it out.
Finally, when God gives us a task, we should follow Aaron’s example and not outsource it. We should be willing to step up and do what God has called us to, knowing He has equipped us for the task. With faith and trust in God, we can achieve great things in His vineyard.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me never to dilute Your message and never become jealous of whoever You are engaging in Your vineyard. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
