Leviticus 16:13 NLT
“There in the Lord’s presence he will put the incense on the burning coals so that a cloud of incense will rise over the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. If he follows these instructions, he will not die.”

Giver of Life
In the Old Testament, entering the holy of holies was a serious matter. Only the high priest was allowed to enter, and he had to follow strict procedures and rules to avoid offending the Lord’s presence. For instance, Aaron must only put the incense on the burning coals in the Lord’s presence. However, should the high priest make mistakes or forget any step, he risks death.

Today, we engage in worship without the fear of death because of the completed work of salvation Jesus performed on the cross at Calvary. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross has made a way for us to approach God with confidence and boldness, without any fear or trepidation. Friends, Jesus is the life, and no one follows Him and ends in eternal damnation. Follow Him, and you will be glad you did.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You because I can worship without fearing that I won’t do it right in Jesus’s name. Amen.
