Leviticus 15:24 NLT
”If a man has sexual intercourse with her and her blood touches him, her menstrual impurity will be transmitted to him. He will remain unclean for seven days, and any bed on which he lies will be unclean.“
‭‭
If a man…
In one of his letters, Saul, also known as Paul, stated that although everything is permissible for him, not everything is beneficial. Paul explained that he has every right to do anything but will not let anything have power over him. Simply put, although there may not be any specific prohibition against something, every action has consequences.

In the referenced passage, the Lord did not prohibit or stop any man, particularly any husband, from engaging in marital relations at any time. However, He did warn that if a man has sexual intercourse with his wife during her menstrual period, there is a risk of separation. The man may become unclean and separated from the community for a certain period.

Sometimes, we may think that if something feels good, we should do it. However, not everything that feels good is right or beneficial. We must avoid engaging in activities that could cause separation from God, even only for a moment. This is because, in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy and His right-hand pleasures forevermore.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not do anything that feels good as long as it does not give You glory. I pray this in Jesus’s name, Amen.
