Leviticus 15:20 NLT
”Anything on which the woman lies or sits during the time of her period will be unclean.“
During the time of her period
It is important to note that the state of uncleanliness is not peculiar to any gender. Just as males can become unclean, so can females assume the status. In Old Testament, the Lord said that a woman’s menstrual period made her unclean which means she cannot offer sacrifices or be in the congregation with others during the period of time.
However, it is essential to note that a woman is as clean as any man before and after her menstrual period. Therefore, it is crucial not to think or feel that a woman is always unclean. God, who created the female gender, has said otherwise.
Another important insight is how a woman carried herself during her menstrual period mattered greatly. The flow has already made her unclean, but her actions during this time could either improve or worsen the condition of other things. If she carries out her daily activities with a careless attitude during this time frame, everything she touches will become unclean. This includes not just physical objects but also people, as anyone who uses them will share her status.
In conclusion, whatever situation we find ourselves in, it is crucial to lead others toward righteousness and avoid leaving behind any sour grapes for others to deal with. This means taking responsibility for our actions and not harming others. Essentially, it is essential not to allow any unbecoming situation to make us bitter.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not, because of any unbecoming circumstances, make living unbearable for others. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
