Leviticus 15:9 NLT
”Any saddle blanket on which the man rides will be ceremonially unclean.“
He calls me salt; I must behave as such.
God’s character is deeply rooted in love, which is evident in every aspect of His being, including His word. For example, the referenced scripture expresses the truth by laying out what will happen to any man who chooses to be ceremonially unclean through controllable actions. It is important to note that the instruction does not infringe on any man’s right to do as he wishes but also indicates that God has the right to be God.
Ceremonial uncleanliness is like wildfire that destroys anything in its path. Likewise, anything that a man who is ceremonially unclean interacts with assumes his status. While he has an opportunity for redemption, they may or may not have. The Lord stated that if the person sits on any saddle blanket, whether owned or borrowed, every single one will become unclean as long as the person’s status remains unclean.
We must understand that our actions have far-reaching consequences that we may not even realize. Therefore, we must strive to act in a manner that positively affects everything that comes into contact with us. Let us endeavour to be agents of change, spreading positivity and love wherever we go. Being mindful of our actions can create a ripple effect that can transform the world. Always remember that you are the salt of the earth, meaning you are to preserve and not contaminate.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me so that I live my life for Your glory. As You have called me the salt of the world, please help me always behave as such. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
