Leviticus 15:5 NLT
”So if you touch the man’s bed, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening.“
Be kind to one another.
Yesterday, we learned from the scripture that we all significantly impact the world. Our actions leave a mark on the people and things we interact with, whether we realize it or not. Today’s scripture delves deeper into this topic, shedding light on maintaining our purity.
The Lord explains that those who are ceremonially clean can lose their status if they come into contact with someone who is ceremonially unclean. So what should a ceremonially unclean man do? It depends on whether he loves his neighbour and God. If a man loves his neighbour as himself, he will alert them of potential danger and never set traps for them.
It’s important to note that many people who sit on a man’s bed would become ceremonially unclean for the rest of the day. The potency of the uncleanliness does not diminish with the number of people. Sin has a carryover effect.
Therefore, we must remember that even if we find ourselves in an unfavourable situation, we should not be careless with our actions. We are responsible for loving and protecting others, even when struggling. We must ensure that our struggles do not become someone else’s burden. By showing love and kindness, we can prevent others from experiencing the same difficulties we are facing (Ephesians 4:32).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will set a bobby trap for my brethren. Please help me to live my life for Your glory. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
