Leviticus 15:2 NLT
”” Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. “Any man who has a bodily discharge is ceremonially unclean.“
Can God trust me?
In yesterday’s study, we gained valuable insight from the scripture that maintaining a close relationship with God is crucial. Without being on speaking terms with Him, we won’t be able to hear from Him. However, it’s not enough to have a relationship with Him; we must also show ourselves trustworthy enough to deliver what He asks of us.
Just like how God trusted Moses and Aaron to deliver His message to the Israelites, we, too, must strive to be trustworthy in carrying out His instructions. You and I must ask ourselves, can God trust me to deliver His instructions to His people? This question is crucial for those in various positions of leadership or influence. We have a responsibility to share God’s instructions with others and not to keep them to ourselves.
Another valuable lesson we can take from this is about cleanliness. The scripture emphasized the importance of physical cleanliness, and God expected it from everyone, including Moses and Aaron, who were not exempt from adhering to it. The instruction was to ensure that they were clean before approaching God.
As we reflect on this lesson, we must ask ourselves how we view God’s instructions. Do we believe they apply to us, or are we excluded from adhering to them? We must remember that God’s instructions are for our benefit, and we must strive to adhere to them in every aspect of our lives.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray I will never take the trust You have in me to share Your word for granted. I pray that I will never exclude myself from the demands of Your instructions. Help me, Lord. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
