Leviticus 15:10 NLT
“If you touch anything that was under the man, you will be unclean until evening. You must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening.”
If you touch anything…
The Lord has decreed that certain events are inevitable. For instance, the time of sowing and reaping will continue as long as the earth exists. However, some events should not happen, but the Lord will never stop anyone from activating them; hence, the Lord used “if” instead of “when” in the referenced scripture.
The scripture states that anyone who touches anything under the man will become unclean. However, if someone chooses not to touch those things, their status will remain unaffected. The instruction implies that the Lord does not give kudos to irresponsibility. The Lord clarified that whoever willingly chooses to be unclean will be treated as such. This means that if we consciously engage in unclean practices, we cannot expect to be treated as clean.
Friends, we would be addressed based on the choices that we make. Therefore, let’s endeavour to do what is right in the sight of the Lord.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will use my freedom for Your glory, not misuse it. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
