Leviticus 15:1 NLT
”The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“
‭‭
Speak Lord
The scripture reference highlights the importance of being on speaking terms with God. It reveals that Moses and Aaron conversed with God because they obeyed His commands and did not add or subtract from them. Through their faithfulness, they established a relationship with God that allowed them to communicate with Him regularly.

This passage also teaches us that God does not focus on our past mistakes. Although Aaron and Moses had made errors in judgment, God pardoned them and restored their relationship with Him. It is essential to understand that we should not let our past mistakes hold us back from having a relationship with God. If we make amends and don’t dwell on our past, God does not judge us on it.

Furthermore, the scripture teaches us that God is not selective in who He chooses to speak with. Even though Moses had committed murder and Aaron had engaged in idolatry, God still chose to communicate with them. This tells us that the messiness of our past is not a hindrance for God to overlook. He is willing to forgive us and communicate with us, regardless of what we have done in the past.

In summary, this passage teaches us that establishing a relationship with God requires obedience to His commands. It also shows us that our past mistakes do not define us and that God is willing to forgive us and communicate with us if we make amends.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask that You will open my eyes to all encumbrances that should not be in my life and help me to discard them so that I can continually hear from You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
