Leviticus 14:50 NLT
”He will slaughter one of the birds over a clay pot filled with fresh water.“

Your responsibility is yours.
In life, we often rely on certain principles to help us achieve our goals. One such principle is the division of labour, which involves breaking down a task into smaller, more manageable parts and delegating them to different individuals. While this approach can be effective in many situations, it’s essential to recognize that it may not always be applicable or necessary.

Focusing on doing a task well rather than trying too much is essential. This is especially true when it comes to tasks that have a significant impact on our lives or the lives of others. In these cases, it’s essential to take the time to understand the task thoroughly and make sure we approach it with the necessary care and attention to detail.

This is why God required the priests not just to oversee a task but to carry it out themselves. One specific scripture notes that the priest was responsible for slaughtering one of two birds, and he needed to do so according to the Lord’s instructions. The Lord instructed the priest not to wrench the bird’s neck, as doing so would be considered disobedient.

This example highlights the importance of following instructions carefully, especially when they come directly from a higher authority. When God assigns a task, we can be confident we can carry it out. However, it’s our responsibility to ensure we understand the task thoroughly and approach it with the necessary care and attention to detail.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I desire to pay close attention to Your instructions in all my endeavours. Please help me. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
