Leviticus 14:31 NLT
”One of them is for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, to be presented along with the grain offering. Through this process, the priest will purify the person before the Lord.“
Jesus: My Mediator and Saviour
Today’s referenced Scripture states, “Through this process, the priest will purify the person before the Lord.” This indicates that the acceptance of the purification exercise was not solely based on the actions of the person being purified; instead, the priest’s involvement in the exercise made the difference.
This reminds us that we cannot rely solely on our efforts to be made whole again. Without the involvement of the Son of God in our lives, none of our activities can make us whole again. The lesson is that when we follow God’s instructions, He honours us.
Just as the person being purified never discounted the significance of the priest, we, too, should not discount the importance of the Son of God in our lives. He is our mediator, our saviour, and our Redeemer. We should strive to follow His teachings and live a life of obedience and faithfulness, knowing that through Him, we can receive forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.
Prayer
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being my mediator and Saviour. I pray that I will never take Your finished work of salvation on the cross for granted. So, help me, God. Amen.
