”The priest will also pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his own left hand.“
God cares!
The Bible is a book that contains God’s words, and each word is of great significance. By carefully studying God’s words, we can gain insight into how to live our lives. Each word reveals what God has done and will do for his people in the past, present, and future.
In today’s scripture reference, the Lord instructed the priest to pour some olive oil into the palm of his left hand. This may seem simple, but it has a deeper meaning. If the priest had only one hand, he would not be able to complete the task. Moreover, no one was allowed to assist the priest, which means he would have good eyesight to perform the task. Through this scripture, God assured that no priest would be one-handed or have vision problems. This is just one example of how God takes care of his people.
If God took care of the priests in this way under the law, we can be confident that He will do no less under grace. Through His grace, God continues to care for His people, providing them with what they need and protecting them from harm.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me always repose my faith in You. Please help me always know that You will take care of me. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
