Leviticus 14:16 NLT
”He will dip his right finger into the oil in his palm and sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times before the Lord.“

Don’t hold back
In many Western cultures, individuals tend to take on tasks and responsibilities independently, sometimes reducing the need for one another. However, the Bible instructed that a priest oversee the purification ritual for a person healed from a serious skin disease. The person who had been healed was not permitted to perform the ritual themselves, even if they had learned the steps of the ritual through observation. The priest needed to execute the ritual for them to give glory to God.

Interestingly, the priest used both hands during the ritual, with the palm of their left hand serving as a retainer while the finger of their right hand carried out the remaining aspects of the ritual. This highlights that the priest was fully engaged and committed to performing their responsibilities to the best of their ability.

This biblical lesson teaches us that we need each other and that relying on others can be beneficial in achieving our goals. It also emphasizes the importance of seeking help from others, especially when it comes to tasks that require expertise or specialization. This passage encourages us to embrace interdependence and recognize the value of working together.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray I will fully engage in every assignment for Your glory. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
