Leviticus 13:40 NLT
”If a man loses his hair and his head becomes bald, he is still ceremonially clean.“
‭‭
If a man loses his hair
During a church service I watched in Nigeria, the appearance of an older man with gray hair struck me. He seemed to be in his mid-eighties and had a full head of hair without visible signs of balding. This observation made me reflect on the fact that hair loss is a common occurrence as people age, but not everyone experiences it.

In today’s referenced Scripture, the Lord affirms that even if a man is bald, he can still enter His presence. This statement suggests that baldness is neither a sin nor an obstacle to worshipping God. It’s interesting to ponder why God chose to address the issue of baldness and worship in the first place. Perhaps it reminds us that our physical appearance is insignificant to God; what truly matters is the state of our hearts and our devotion to Him.

This passage invites us to consider how we judge others based on their physical appearance. Whether someone has hair or not doesn’t matter to God. What matters is the purity of our hearts and our commitment to living a life that is pleasing to Him. Baldness, like any other physical trait, is simply a part of the natural aging process and isn’t something to be ashamed of or stigmatized (2 Kings 2:23-24).

Prayer
Dear God, please help me to know that certain natural changes in my life do not diminish Your love for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
