Leviticus 13:6 NLT
“On the seventh day the priest will make another examination. If he finds the affected area has faded and has not spread, the priest will pronounce the person ceremonially clean. It was only a rash. The person’s clothing must be washed, and the person will be ceremonially clean.”

Exercise patience
Waiting is a challenging experience that can be frustrating and difficult for anyone. We all have a natural tendency to want immediate answers and results, but sometimes waiting can be necessary. Today’s scripture reference reminds us of the importance of patience, a vital virtue everyone must learn to cultivate.

Patience is essential when it comes to healing and anything. It was not enough for the person affected by skin disease to simply wait for the physical symptoms to fade away. Even if the person attests that the affected area has faded, they can only leave the quarantine center once the priest declares them ceremonially clean. This is a critical step that must be completed.

In fact, the priest’s pronouncement is crucial to the healing process. The priest must declare them clean before the affected person can resume their normal activities, and washing of clothing and other rituals are meaningless with the priest’s approval.

Therefore, it is essential to be patient and trust God’s timing and plan, even when it is difficult to do so. Taking matters into our own hands and trying to speed up the process can be tempting, but this can be counterproductive and even dangerous.

Waiting for God’s clearance is more meaningful and holds more weight than any spiritual exercise or ritual. So, let us cultivate the virtue of patience, trusting in God’s plan and timing, and waiting for His approval before moving forward.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me. I don’t want impatience to rule over me. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
