Leviticus 13:24-25 NLT
”If anyone has suffered a burn on the skin and the burned area changes color, becoming either reddish white or shiny white, the priest must examine it. If he finds that the hair in the affected area has turned white and the problem appears to be more than skin-deep, a skin disease has broken out in the burn. The priest must then pronounce the person ceremonially unclean, for it is clearly a serious skin disease.“
If anyone
Today’s referenced scripture emphasizes that God never intended for any child of Israel to suffer from burns on their skin. This message is conveyed through the use of the word “if” instead of “when,” which suggests that such an occurrence was never part of God’s plan. In the same vein, God never intended for you and me to get burnt. However, it tends to happen. The question is why, and the answer is because of the lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
Furthermore, the Scripture teaches us that the Lord’s instructions were for all the people of Israel, regardless of their position or status. In the passage, the Lord commands that anyone who suffers a burn on their skin must be examined. This means that even if Moses, Aaron, or any of their sons suffered a burn, they would still be subject to this command.
As followers of Christ, we must never practice the animal farm ideology. In God’s eyes, we are all equal. If anyone transgresses, we must not hype it because they are nobody or sweep it under the rug because they occupy an exalted position.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are never partial. Please help me be impartial in all my undertakings so that I will always bring glory to You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
