Leviticus 11:3 NLT
“You may eat any animal that has completely split hooves and chews the cud.”
You may eat
Today’s referenced scripture sheds light on the dietary guidelines given to the people of Israel by the Lord through Moses. The language used in conveying these instructions holds great significance as the term “may” was used to express the instruction, indicating that meat consumption was not mandatory. This gave the Israelites the freedom to choose whether or not to consume meat. However, for their benefit, the Lord instructed them only to consume animals with split hooves and cud-chewing habits. This was not a binding instruction but rather a gentle reminder from God that He knows what is best for them and what will benefit their health and well-being. Friends, do you believe God has your best interest in His heart? If yes, never hesitate to give your life to Jesus Christ, and if you have already given Him your life, don’t take it away through disobedience. It is essential to trust in God’s wisdom and follow His instructions for our good.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to know that all Your instructions are in my best interest. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
