Leviticus 11:28 NLT
“If you pick up its carcass, you must wash your clothes, and you will remain defiled until evening. These animals are unclean for you.”
‭‭
You means everyone
God’s word is an unchanging and timeless truth that guides and directs humanity. The principles and lessons contained in the Scriptures remain relevant and applicable today as they were yesterday, regardless of the time or culture.

In today’s Scripture passage, the word “if” suggests that the event is not predetermined or set in stone. This implies that the outcome is dependent on the actions of individuals and the choices they make. Therefore, we must take responsibility for shaping our lives and the world around us.

The use of the word “you” in the passage is significant because it refers to all people of Israel, irrespective of their position in society. It is a reminder that we are all equally responsible for our actions and that we should not consider ourselves better than others.

Moreover, the instructions given in the passage are relevant not only to the people of Israel but also to every individual today. It emphasizes the importance of being accountable for our actions and making the right choices, which will ultimately lead to a better life and a better world.

Some may argue that the instructions given in the passage were only relevant in ancient times when handpackers were used. However, a closer examination reveals that the divine instruction was not about the method of picking up the carcass but instead about who should do it. This means that the invention of handpackers does not invalidate God’s instructions.

In conclusion, nothing can invalidate God’s instructions, as they remain relevant and applicable regardless of time or circumstance. Therefore, we should strive to live our lives according to the principles and lessons in the Scriptures and take responsibility for our role in shaping our lives and the world around us.

Prayer
Dear God, I pray to you, seeking guidance and strength to follow your instructions. Help me to understand your will for me and to have the courage to obey it, even when it may be difficult. Please grant me the wisdom to discern between right and wrong and the determination to resist temptation that may lead me astray. May your love and grace be with me always, and may I walk in your ways all the days of my life. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
