Leviticus 9:19 NLT
“Then he took the fat of the bull and the ram—the fat of the broad tail and from around the internal organs—along with the kidneys and the long lobes of the livers.”
‭‭
Greater work you will do
In Leviticus 8 verse 16, the scripture reveals how Moses removed the fat surrounding the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, along with the fat encompassing them. Interestingly, when Aaron was tasked with performing the same sacrifice, he followed the same meticulous approach without any prompting. This implies that Aaron was not absent-minded but carefully performed the task.

In like manner, we must be present-minded in the place of worship. Doing so will give us access to all the essential details needed to perform a given task. Unlike Aaron, who did exactly what Moses did and by the way, there is nothing wrong with it, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, desires that we do what He did and even greater (John 14:12); however, this can only be accomplished through being present-minded with Him.

In addition, the passage highlights the attention to detail Aaron exhibited during his sacrifice. Like Moses, Aaron removed all the fat from the bull and the ram with great care and precision. Although demanding, Aaron accomplished this task for the glory of God and did not search for fat in one animal and leave the other uncombed. The passage teaches us that Kingdom assignments must be performed appropriately but require purpose, intention, and a meticulous approach. We must learn from Aaron’s example and strive to execute our tasks with the same level of attention to detail for the glory of God.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray for the strength to perform all the tasks assigned to me in Your kingdom. I pray that I will not be absent-minded in the place of worship. I pray for these in Jesus’s name. Amen.
