Leviticus 10:18 NLT
“Since the animal’s blood was not brought into the Holy Place, you should have eaten the meat in the sacred area as I ordered you.”
‭‭
Walk the talk
Do you consider yourself someone who wants others to succeed? It’s easy to answer “yes,” but do your actions embody that sentiment? Moses was an exemplary figure because he kept a close eye on the priests as they conducted their sacrifices, ensuring they didn’t make any mistakes that might anger God.

Such involvement occurred because Moses was genuinely interested in seeing Aaron and his remaining sons thrive. Today’s referenced scripture reveals that Moses confirmed the priests didn’t take the animal’s blood into the Holy place. He had to witness it firsthand to make such a statement.

Moreover, Moses was very aware of his boundaries. For instance, he did not follow Eleazar and Ithamar into the sacred place to watch them eat their portion of the offering, as he knew it was not his place to do so. This demonstrates respect and understanding for the roles and responsibilities of others, even those under his leadership.

It’s also worth noting that when Moses gave an order, he did not claim that it was a direct command of the Lord but instead framed it as his instruction. This highlights the importance of being involved in the lives of those around us and respecting their autonomy and decision-making abilities.

In summary, Moses serves as a great example of someone who truly lived by the principle of wanting others to succeed. He was deeply invested in the success of those under his care but also recognized the importance of respecting boundaries.

Prayer
Dear God, please guide me in fulfilling my oversight duties without overstepping my boundaries. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
