Leviticus 10:16 NLT
“Moses then asked them what had happened to the goat of the sin offering. When he discovered it had been burned up, he became very angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons.”
‭‭
Why are you angry?
Anger is a common human emotion that everyone experiences, regardless of their background or life circumstances. In today’s Scripture, we see an example of Moses becoming upset with Eleazar and Ithamar when he discovered that the goat designated for the sin offering had been burned. However, it’s important to note that Moses’ anger was not driven by personal gain or selfish motives; instead, it was out of selfless love and concern for Aaron, Eleazar, and Ithamar. He didn’t want them to do anything that would displease God or bring harm to themselves.

This passage provides a valuable lesson for us to reflect on why we get angry in our own lives. Is it because we genuinely care for someone and want what’s best for them, or is it simply because we’re not getting our way? Taking the time to ponder on this question can help us gain a better understanding of our own emotions and motivations. It can also help us to respond to situations with more empathy, love, and understanding rather than reacting out of frustration or anger. Ultimately, the goal should be to cultivate a heart of selfless love and concern for others, just as Moses did in this passage.

Prayer
Dear God, please help me to act selflessly and with love in all my actions. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
