Leviticus 9:9 NLT
“His sons brought him the blood, and he dipped his finger in it and put it on the horns of the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.”

Fully involved
In today’s scripture, we can learn a valuable lesson from the actions of Aaron’s sons. They willingly brought the blood of the slaughtered calf without being asked or coerced, indicating that they were actively involved in their father’s work. They recognized that their father needed assistance and offered their help without hesitation. Are you also actively engaged in God’s work, and do you do it wholeheartedly?

Another message we can glean from Aaron’s sons’ behaviour centred on how they treated the calf’s blood. They did not dip their fingers in the blood, which might have made it invalid. Instead, they treated it with the utmost respect and sanctity. Similarly, we should also treat the blood of Jesus Christ with reverence and respect. His blood is the ultimate sacrifice shed on the Calvary cross to atone for our sins. Unlike the calf’s blood, which only Aaron could touch, the blood of Jesus is available for everyone to receive the forgiveness of their sins and be washed clean.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray I will be fully dedicated to Your Great Commission mission. I ask that the sacrifice of Your Only Begotten Son will be enough for me. I offer these sincere prayers in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
