Leviticus 9:14 NLT
“Then he washed the internal organs and the legs and burned them on the altar along with the rest of the burnt offering.”
What is worth doing is worth doing well
Today’s referenced scripture teaches us an important lesson regarding the burnt offering animal. According to the text, before Aaron burned the items on the altar, he took the time to wash them. This act of cleaning the internal organs was not an easy task, and it’s safe to assume that Aaron put in a considerable amount of effort to ensure that they were properly cleaned. Although it wasn’t explicitly mentioned in the scripture, it’s admirable that Aaron recognized the significance of washing the items, even though they would be burned. This act highlights the importance of following proper procedures in our actions. Aaron didn’t skip the cleaning process, even though the items would be burned. He understood that cleaning them beforehand was necessary and took the time to do so. This attention to detail is a crucial aspect of performing any task, whether big or small. It’s a testament to his commitment to doing things the right way and should inspire us all to follow suit. Friends, are you committed to following due process even if it contradicts your belief?
