Leviticus 9:12 NLT
“Next Aaron slaughtered the animal for the burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he splattered it against all sides of the altar.”
‭‭
Stay focused
In today’s scripture reference, we learn that Aaron took on the solemn duty of slaughtering the animal for the burnt offering himself. He didn’t pass this task on to anyone and took full responsibility. This teaches us the valuable lesson that God expects us to take on our assigned tasks with care and attention.

In Leviticus 8:18-19, we see that Aaron learned from Moses and passed on his knowledge to his sons, who were present during the burnt offering. If Aaron’s sons had been absent-minded, things might have gone wrong. Fortunately, they participated without prompting, which shows they were alert. We must pay attention to the Holy Spirit’s leadership so we can carry out our duties without making mistakes.

Another lesson from this passage is the importance of a harmonious working relationship between family members. Even though we may not be related by blood, we are all part of the same family of God. Like Aaron’s sons who assisted him in bringing the animal’s blood while he performed the splattering, we should help each other fulfill our service to the Lord. When we work together as a family, we can accomplish great things in the service of the Lord.

Finally, we must remember to do what the Lord assigns to us. We shouldn’t covet someone else’s ministry or assignment, no matter how simple or qualified we may feel. When we carry out our assigned tasks with care and attention, we fulfill God’s plan for our lives. Let’s strive to do our best in everything we do, and may the Lord bless us as we seek to serve Him with all our hearts.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please guide me to work harmoniously with my brothers and sisters to further Your kingdom. Help me be content with the tasks You have assigned me and not interfere with the roles of others in Your kingdom.
