Leviticus 8:25 NLT
“Next Moses took the fat, including the fat of the broad tail, the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat around them, along with the right thigh.”
Do all that is required
The adage “easier said than done” is a common expression that highlights how challenging it can be to execute something compared to just talking about it. However, Moses is an individual who lived by the philosophy of taking action rather than just speaking about it. He meticulously followed every instruction God provided regarding the Tabernacle, its uses, and the ordination of priests. These instructions were by no means easy tasks. But despite this, Moses did not falter. According to the scripture, he collected all the fat with extreme care, even if it meant reaching difficult places. He made sure that not a single bit of it was left behind. Even though Moses was in a position to delegate some of the work and supervise, he chose to do everything himself. This is an excellent reminder that we are never too old or important to fulfill what God has asked us. Our responsibility is to dedicate ourselves to the tasks assigned to us, regardless of how challenging they may seem.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray that I may never be careless in carrying out any task assigned to me, just as Moses did not leave any of the fat out. Please guide me to do all that is required. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
