Leviticus 8:24 NLT
“Next Moses presented Aaron’s sons and applied some of the blood to the lobes of their right ears, the thumbs of their right hands, and the big toes of their right feet. He then splattered the rest of the blood against all sides of the altar.”
God cares for future generations
Moses was a shining example of a systematic and thorough approach to fulfilling God’s commands. Rather than rushing through the tasks at hand, he took great care to ensure that each step was completed in its appropriate sequence. In fact, before moving on to the next task, he made sure to tend to Aaron’s needs first. This included applying the blood to Aaron’s sons as he had done for Aaron himself. This not only underscored the importance of adhering to God’s guidance and carrying out His wishes but also demonstrated that these things were critical not just for the present generation but also for future generations. In short, Moses is an inspiring role model for all of us as we strive to follow God’s path and fulfill His will.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray that you will guide me to always listen to your voice, use my hands for your work, and walk on your path. I ask for your help and support to stay on the right track. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
