Leviticus 8:6 NLT
“Then he presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.”
‭‭
Who is your employer?
In our relationship with God, it is essential that we not only memorize His words but also put them into practice in our daily lives. James, in his letter to believers, urges us not to be mere hearers of God’s word but also doers of it. He cautions that those who listen to God’s word but fail to follow it are deceiving themselves (James 1:22). In today’s scripture, we see Moses not only speaking the word of God but also acting on it. The passage recounts how Moses washed Aaron and his sons with water, demonstrating his humility and willingness to serve others. He didn’t just instruct them to wash themselves, but he took the time to wash them with water as God had intended. It is important to note that helping others grow does not diminish our own greatness. Though we may not fully understand the impact of Moses’ actions that day, his selfless service exemplified servant leadership. As we go about fulfilling our responsibilities, let us consider the type of leadership we exhibit and strive to emulate Moses’ humility and selflessness, just as Jesus Christ did while on earth. Moses did it because he knew that God was his employer. So, who is your employer? People or God?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please guide me never to avoid any divine duty and always remind me that I am working for You. I pray this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
