Leviticus 7:35 NLT
“This is their rightful share. The special gifts presented to the Lord have been reserved for Aaron and his descendants from the time they were set apart to serve the Lord as priests.”
Their rightful share
In life, people strive for different shares of available resources. Some aim to accumulate as much as possible, known as the lion’s share, while others seek a fair share. However, according to today’s scripture, God granted Aaron and his descendants a rightful share that is distinct from the other two types. It’s important to note that society may frown upon someone receiving the lion’s share, and obtaining a fair share may take considerable effort. Conversely, a rightful share, which only God can provide, does not require any active lobbying from us.
It’s essential to comprehend that the benefit granted to Aaron and his descendants began on the day they were set apart and not on their first day of service. This is a unique feature that only God can provide, as no employer offers benefits to their employees before they start working. In reality, many employers withhold activating benefits until after the third month or the end of the probationary period, making the concept of a rightful share even more remarkable. Such a share is a gift from God, and it’s only bestowed upon those who have been set apart for His purpose.
Prayer
Dear God, I know that no man can match the provisions You provide. Just as You made provisions for Aaron and his descendants on the day You set them apart, I trust You have provisions in store for me. Please help me to have faith and know that You will take care of me. I pray this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
