Leviticus 7:24 NLT
“Anyone who eats fat from an animal presented as a special gift to the Lord will be cut off from the community.”
God is not a killer
It is paramount to acknowledge that God is always benevolent and does not intend harm. His plans are always equitable, and any consequences that arise are a result of individuals’ actions that contradict His purpose. In verses 23 and 24 of Leviticus 7, God unequivocally states that consuming fat is not acceptable in the community of Israel. It is important to note that even if an animal is presented as a peace offering, its fat is unsuitable for consumption. Although consuming fat may have been considered pleasurable in the past, it contradicts God’s teachings. As individuals, we have the freedom to make choices, but it is of utmost importance to ensure that our decisions align with God’s commands. We must not use any excuse to justify breaking His instructions, as doing so would violate our faith and trust in Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You seeking Your divine guidance and wisdom as I navigate through life’s choices. I wholeheartedly desire to align my actions and decisions with Your teachings and will for my life. Please help me to discern Your path for me and give me the strength and courage to follow it faithfully. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
