Leviticus 7:6 NLT
“Any male from a priest’s family may eat the meat. It must be eaten in a sacred place, for it is most holy.”
In a sacred place
It is important to note that although a woman led the people of Israel under the law, there was never a time when a woman served as a priest. This is not due to discrimination on God’s part, but rather because women had other important responsibilities, such as nurturing their male children for a life of service to the Lord. It is worth noting that there is no compulsion for anyone, especially children in the infant stages, to partake in the meal. However, those who choose to do so must do it in the sacred place, in the holy place of the Tabernacle. Despite common beliefs, the food does not defile the Tabernacle, as God Himself instructed that whoever wanted to partake in the guilt-offering meal should do so in the holy place. Given the location for eating the meal, there is little or no doubt that those partaking in it must have comported themselves. Friends, in all that we do, let’s comport ourselves.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to comport myself in all life endeavors, whether I am being watched or not. In Jesus’s name, amen.
