Leviticus 7:16 NLT
“If you bring an offering to fulfill a vow or as a voluntary offering, the meat must be eaten on the same day the sacrifice is offered, but whatever is left over may be eaten on the second day.”
‭‭
Obedience is in my interest
It is imperative that individuals comprehend that there are no specific directives from God concerning making a vow. Therefore, if one chooses to make a vow, there are no strict guidelines that must be adhered to. However, the scripture suggests that offering something to fulfill a vow is a voluntary action, as indicated by the word “if.” This means that it is not mandatory to bring an offering to fulfill one’s vow. Unlike the previous verse that requires meat not to be left uneaten, in this verse, God permitted meat to be kept overnight, implying that there is no urgency or obligation concerning the vow. Nonetheless, it is crucial to note that the meat must not be consumed after the second day because it may no longer be safe to eat. It is essential to follow God’s instructions because He cares for us in ways that exceed our imagination, and doing so is always in our best interest. It is vital to respect and honour God’s teachings because they are designed to help us lead a fulfilling life filled with love, compassion, and happiness.

I pray for your constant guidance and support, and I know that obeying your commands is always in my best interest. Thank you for your love and care. Amen.
