Leviticus 6:25 NLT
“Give Aaron and his sons the following instructions regarding the sin offering. The animal given as an offering for sin is a most holy offering, and it must be slaughtered in the Lord’s presence at the place where the burnt offerings are slaughtered.”
In the Lord’s presence
It’s worth considering that not all divine instructions may be relevant to our lives. In today’s scripture, we can see that the Lord gave a specific command to Aaron and his sons, with Moses tasked with delivering it. However, God may use anyone as a messenger to convey His message. When we receive a message from God, it’s essential to embrace it because it can never be to our detriment. Additionally, God commanded that only live animals be used for sacrifice in His presence, illustrating His desire for a living sacrifice at all times. As Paul encouraged the church in Rome, let’s offer ourselves to God as a living sacrifice, which is our reasonable service.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to treat all divine instructions and, more importantly, those specific to me with utmost care and attention. In Jesus’s name, amen.
