Leviticus 6:24 NLT
“Then the Lord said to Moses,”
Never tired
According to the law of diminishing marginal utility, the satisfaction obtained from an activity decreases over time. However, a group of learners once told me that this law does not apply to everyone, as one of them never got tired of a particular activity. While I couldn’t validate their claim, today’s scripture shows that Moses was never tired of being in the presence of the Lord. This means that the law of diminishing marginal utility did not apply in Moses’s relationship with God, allowing the Lord to keep talking to him. Being in the presence of the Lord is not the same as attending church, but it is worth desiring because it brings fullness of joy. No wonder Moses never got tired of it. Let’s strive to dwell in His presence.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please help me to desire Your presence more than anything. In Jesus’s name, amen.
