Leviticus 6:23 NLT
“All such grain offerings of a priest must be burned up entirely. None of it may be eaten.”
Everything up in flames
As believers in Christ, it is essential to understand the significance of the grain offerings presented by the priests. The scripture reveals that these offerings must be made from top-quality flour, just like the offerings presented by the people of Israel. However, the difference lies in the fact that none of the grain offerings presented by the priests during their ordination can be consumed or even retained. It is strictly prohibited for any descendants of Aaron, including priests, to consume even a tiny portion of these offerings. This requirement emphasizes the importance of trusting in God to provide for all of our needs, no matter how significant they may be. As followers of Christ, we have been ordained by Him to fulfill the duties of a royal priest, including spreading the gospel and baptizing individuals in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we should not hesitate to offer our best to Him, knowing that He will always provide for our needs.

Heavenly Father, I want to do Your will. Please help me to do so wholeheartedly. In Jesus’s name, amen.
